Important Information
-
Please use student legal name when setting up account.
-
Allow 2 school days processing for all transcripts, regardless of how they will be sent (electronically or via mail). Parchment is not automatic and requires SHS staff to process each request. This is important to keep in mind in preparation ahead of application deadlines, especially around weekends, school holidays, and summer months when school is closed.
-
Costs vary based on method of delivery and destination (ex: overnight express/overseas mailing). Transcripts must be paid for by credit card when you order.
-
Individuals cannot send official transcripts from their personal email accounts to institutions. If you need to send an official transcript to yourself, send it via standard mail so that it remains sealed and official, otherwise, send the official transcripts directly to the receiving institutions or advisers who are asking for them.
-
An outstanding fine on your account will not prevent you from ordering a transcript through Parchment, but SHS will not release your final high school transcript to your college in June until all fines are cleared with the SHS bookkeeper
Creating an Account and Viewing Your Transcript
A one-time account registration is required at www.parchment.com to properly set up your student account and have the ability see a self-view of your transcript at no cost. This code is sent to students' personal emails in 9th grade. (Because many students are not ready to set up their account and/or they do not have a personal email on file, many no longer have/did not receive this code). Please stop in the College and Career Center to pick up your activation code. Ensuring your account is properly activated will make everything work smoothly!
Unofficial/Self-Views must be ordered using the Registration Code (see above)! When setting up, make sure to check the box that says “keep a copy stored”.
** PARENTS: If you are creating a “parent account” please use your personal email address and NOT the student’s.**

Requesting an Official Transcript
Students are eligible to send 5 official transcripts at no charge. There will be a fee for each additional transcript.
Please note: Processing of transcripts takes up to two school days. SHS staff manually process each request. This is important to keep in mind in preparation ahead of application deadlines, especially around weekends, school holidays, and summer months when school is closed.

Important Note about COVID Closure, Impact and Grading During the closure of public schools mandated by our Governor in March of 2020, and given the grading parameters set forth at that time by the Superintendent of Public Instruction, Chris Reykdal, the Issaquah School District made the decision to offer students letter grades—A, B, C and D—or an incomplete. (OSPI did not allow Fs or NC grades.) All students enrolled in high school level courses in the district at that time received the letter grade they earned at the time of the closure or higher based on their continued participation in their courses, or they earned an incomplete, and were given the opportunity to replace that incomplete with a letter grade. The opportunities included retaking the class, summer school, credit recovery courses, successfully completing higher level coursework, and more. Class of 2020 students who were on track at time of school closure, and students in classes of 2021 and 2022, who on track to graduate at the start of their senior year who experienced COVID-related impact to their education may have been eligible to have certain graduation requirements waived with a V grade code. Issaquah School District follows the State Board of Education’s rules when applying those V codes to eligible seniors’ transcripts. A V grade on the transcript indicates that the graduation requirement was waived in accordance with the State Board of Education emergency rules.
