Reminder: 2025 SBA and WCAS Testing Is Coming Soon

testing

Dear Skyline Families,

Reminder – SBA and WCAS Testing is taking place on the following dates:

  • Monday, May 5:               Grade 10 SBA ELA            8:00-11:00
  • Monday, May 12              Grade 10 SBA Math          8:00-10:00
  • Monday, May 19              Grade 11 WCAS               8:00-10:00

Students will be testing in the morning, and there will be an alternate bell schedule for regular classes following testing.

Students not required to test will be participating in supervised activities while testing is taking place – (study hall, Xello, college applications, etc.)

All students are required to use their school-issued laptop to take the SBA and WCAS tests.  Students are responsible for bringing their fully charged school-issued device and charging cord on testing day. To ensure your student’s device is ready for testing, please remind them to bring their school-issued device and restart it during class time (no later than April 25). This will allow us to troubleshoot any potential issues with devices well before testing begins. As a reminder, students should bring school-issued devices to the tech office (2215) or library if they are having any technical problems.

Do I take SBA ELA or Math if I’m in grade 11 or 12?

  • Sometimes. In these cases, students and families will be contacted directly via ISD email address.
  • Do NOT contact the school to determine if you need to take the test. We will contact you directly and provide you with specific information about the test(s) you need to take, and when they are offered.

How will my student know where to go/what to do?

  • SBA rooms will be added to CANVAS announcements on Friday before testing days.
  • Staff will be available to assist students who need support locating room assignments
  • SBA rooms will be printed/posted

What if I forget my laptop on testing day, or I’m a full-time running start student, and never checked one out?

  • Options will be provided for students who have technical issues on testing days.
  • Full time running start students who do not have a school issued device will be provided with a device for testing purposes in their testing location.

What if I’m absent, have a conflict on a test day with a running start class, or miss my test for another reason?

  • Do not contact the school to schedule/sign up.
  • Absent – but take classes on campus: we will send you a call slip on one of the make-up days.
  • Running start: report to the main office on one of the make-up dates at 8:00 am. You will be directed to a testing location.
