PSAT/NMSQT testing (grades 10 and 11), and structured activities for grades 9 and 12

testing

Dear Parents and Students,

On Wednesday, Oct.12, we will administer the PSAT test to our 10th and 11th grade students.

Notes: Testing not available to students in other grades. Alternate times not offered to Running Start students – they may test with on-campus Skyline students during scheduled testing time.

Grade 9:

  • 10:10-1:00: Structured Activities (more details to come)
  • 1:00-2:50: Lunch with Link Leaders

Grades 10 and 11:

  • 10:10-2:10: PSAT
  •  2:10-2:50: Lunch

Grade 12:

  • 10:10-2:10: Work on Senior Exit Interview activities, homework, College Applications
  1. Seniors/Parents of Seniors: If graduation is planned for this year, utilize the PSAT time on October 12th to complete 12th grade core lessons in Xello; it is a graduation requirement.
  2. If the 11th grade lessons have not yet been completed, ensure those are also given attention. Reach out to the College & Career Center (Room 1202) if you have questions.
  • 2:10-2:50: Lunch

All Grades

  • 2:55-3:45: FlexTime

The PSAT test fee is $18.

  • Payment will be accepted beginning Friday, Oct. 14. To pay, please use the online payment system or pay directly to our ASB Bookkeeper.
  • If you need financial assistance to pay for the PSAT, complete this form.
  • Opt-out: if you do not want your 10th or 11th grader to take PSAT/NMSQT, complete this form.

Again, we are excited to offer this testing opportunity to all our 10th and 11th graders. The PSAT/NMSQT can qualify students for the National Merit Scholarship* as well as other scholarships while also allowing them to practice testing skills in a familiar environment.

*National Merit Scholarship qualification available for grade 11 scores only
