Career Kickstart: Summer Immersive Student Application is Live!

general announcement

Thanks to support from the Issaquah Schools Foundation, Career Kickstart: Summer Immersive is back! This FREE, four‑day summer program is open to rising juniors and seniors (11th and 12th grade students for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year) from Issaquah, Liberty, and Skyline High Schools. There are 50 spots available, and students will be selected through a random lottery.

The 2026 program will take place Monday, June 22 through Thursday, June 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day. Students are responsible for coordinating transportation to SanMar Corporation in Issaquah on June 22 and 25 for the workshops; to the Issaquah School District Administrative Building on June 23 for workplace visits; and to their assigned job shadow workplace (locations will vary) on June 24.

Career Kickstart is an immersive career-readiness experience designed to help students explore career pathways and prepare for real-world workplaces. Through interactive workshops, workplace visits, and job shadow experiences, students will build professional skills, gain exposure to a variety of industries, and connect current interests to future opportunities.

To learn more about program benefits, eligibility requirements, the selection process, and the detailed schedule – and to access the student application – visit the Career Kickstart webpage. The application closes on Friday, April 24 at 3:00PM.

If you're a local community member who wants to get involved by hosting job shadows or a workplace visit, learn more on the Career Kickstart webpage.
